Biography
Kent McPhail was appointed to the Town Council in 1998 to fill the vacancy created when another council member retired and has been elected to the Council since. Kent's area of responsibility is the Police Department and Public Relations. He is also the former Executive Director of the Plainfield Chamber of Commerce.
Employment
For eleven years Kent served on the Monroe-Gregg School Board. He has been a past member of the Board of Zoning Appeals and currently serves on the Plan Commission. He is on the Board of the Hendricks County Convention and Visitors Bureau. Kent is also a deacon at the Plainfield Christian Church.
Education
Kent graduated from Monrovia High School and attended Indiana Central College. He has retired from the Suburban Steel Supply Company of Indianapolis where he was General Manager. Prior to that he was General Manager for the Earle M. Jorgensen Company (formerly Kilsby Roberts Co.). He and his wife Donna have a son, Fred, a daughter, Marla, and five grandchildren.
His personal creed is to do his best to make the right decisions for Plainfield and its citizens.
