As Chief, my highest priority is to ensure that the Town of Plainfield is a safe place to live, work and play. My administration is committed to providing the community with the very best service and protection using the latest technology and training. The department is currently in its 17th year as a CALEA Accredited Law Enforcement Agency earning "Flagship" status in 2006 and "Meritorious" status in 2012. Plainfield continues to lead the way in innovation and modern law enforcement trends while remaining true to the core beliefs and values of our community.
Our department provides police services to a Town of approximately 30,000 residents. The Plainfield Police Department employs 48 sworn officers, 8 reserve officers and 14 civilian employees. The mission of the Plainfield Police Department is to provide community-oriented law enforcement designed to protect life and property, by means of the highest professional standards, while affording dignity and respect to every individual. To serve as the first line of defense concerning Homeland Security, through proactive criminal intelligence and analysis, as well as preparedness to respond to critical incidents.
