The Town of Plainfield will hold its third annual Public Safety Day on Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Al and Jan Barker Sports Complex located at 451 South Vestal Road, Plainfield, Indiana. The event gives all of the public safety departments and agencies, and its partners, the chance to demonstrate to the public what we do and how we do it. It provides our community the opportunity to interact with those that serve or provide services and receive education, learn about services and have a lot of fun. Venders will come from all over Hendricks County, the State of Indiana, and even federal agencies.
What can you expect? PPD, the Plainfield Fire Territory, Hendricks County Communications Center, and Plainfield Parks & Recreation will all be in attendance for the event as well as other local, state, and federal public safety partners. You can expect to see our vehicles, equipment and apparatus, and demonstrations from Plainfield public safety personnel. PPD K9s demonstrations, and the Plainfield Fire Territory’s newest equipment, which is always a big hit. SWAT vehicles, National Guard, and many many more. Several public safety partners from Hendricks County will be present with booths and have information and swag giveaways. A DJ will keep us entertained during the event and will provide scheduling update announcements. There's something for every age with bounce houses for children, a rock climbing wall, food trucks, an Alien shootout game, a bike rodeo, and more. There is even a rumor we will have a dunk tank this year.
