Want to be a more informed resident of the Town of Plainfield? The Town's Citizens Academy is designed to help residents gain a greater understanding of the Town’s operations through lecture, discussion, and interactive activities.
Participants visit Plainfield's Department of Public Works, the Plainfield Police Department, Plainfield Fire Territory Fire Stations, the Hendricks County Communications Center and the Richard A. Carlucci Recreation & Aquatic Center.

September 20, 2022 – Department of Public Works including Streets & Construction, Stormwater Operations, and Water and Sewer Utilities
October 11, 2022 – Public Safety [Part 1], Intro to PFT
November 22, 2022 – Development Services including Planning & Zoning and Building Services
January 17, 2023 – Working Together: Community Groups (Chamber of Commerce, Library, School System, Guilford Township)
February 21, 2023 – Economic Development Day, Current Projects, TIF and Tax Abatements
March 21, 2023 – Public Safety [Part 2], Overview of Public Safety
April 18, 2023 – Public Safety [Part 3], Intro to HCCC
May 16, 2023 –Parks Department & Wrap-Up
