BY THE PLAINFIELD PLAN COMMISSION

Pursuant to applicable law, the Plainfield Plan Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, October 3, 2022, at 6:30 p.m., at the Plainfield Fire Headquarters, 591 Moon Road, Plainfield, Indiana on petitions requesting the following:

  • Rezone 3.78 acres from Vandalia Trails PUD to Winding Way PUD
  • Primary Plat for Winding Way PUD
  • Final Detailed Plan for Winding Way 

The property is located at the southeast quadrant of the Smith Road/Township Line Road/Perry Road roundabout.

  • Proposal TA-22-089 is to amend the Plainfield Zoning Ordinance (Title XV Land Usage, Chapter 154) in the following respects: 

Repeal the following Articles: 7.1   Intent and Application; 7.2   Signs: Exempt; 7.3   Signs: Prohibited; 7.4   Signs: On-Premise Signs: Commercial, Industrial Districts (Except for the TC: Town Centre District and the MU: Mixed Use District; 7.5   On Premise Signs: TC and MU Districts; 7.6   Signs: On Premises, RR, R-1, R-2. R-3. R-4. R-5. R-6. RU and AG Districts; 7.7   Signs: Off-Premises; 7.8   Signs: General Regulations. 

Amend the following Article: 13.2: Definitions

Enact the following Articles: 7.1   Intent and Application; 7.2   General Sign Regulations; 
7.3   Exempt Signs; 7.4   Prohibited Signs; 7.5   Ground Signs; 7.6   Building Signs; 7.7 Incidental Signs; 7.8   TC Town Center District.

NOTICE OF PUBLICE HEARING OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF PLAINFIELD, INDIANA REGARDING ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY TO THE TOWN

 

The Town Council of the Town of Plainfield, Hendricks County, Indiana, (the “Town Council” and “Town,” respectively) is proposing to annex approximately 5.601 acres of property contiguous to the Town and located at 2699 S State Rd 267 on the north side of the Town (the “Territory”).  All landowners residing in the Territory have requested that the Town consider such annexation.  The Town Council will conduct a public hearing on October 24, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. (Local Time) at the Plainfield Fire Territory Headquarters, located at 591 South Moon Road, Plainfield, Indiana 46168, to give final consideration to annexation of the property in accordance with the provisions of Indiana Code Sections 36-4-3 et.seq.  

A legal description of the area being considered for annexation is available and can be inspected at the Clerk-Treasurer’s office at Plainfield Town Hall, 206 W. Main Street, Plainfield, Indiana  46168 during regular business hours.  

At the public hearing, the Town Council will receive and hear comments, remonstrance and objections from interested persons concerning the proposed annexation.

NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE NO. 34-2022 “AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING AND MAKING A PART OF THE TOWN OF PLAINFIELD, INDIANA, CERTAIN DESCRIBED TERRITORY CONTIGUOUS TO THE CORPORATE LIMITS TO THE TOWN OF PLAINFIELD AND ADDING SAID TERRITORY TO COUNCIL DISTRICT NUMBER 1”

Notice is hereby given that on September 12, 2022, the Town Council of the Town of Plainfield, Indiana, adopted Ordinance No. 34-2022, “An Ordinance Annexing and Making a Part of the Town of Plainfield, Indiana, Certain Described Territory Contiguous to the Corporate Limits to the Town of Plainfield and Adding Said Territory to Council District Number 1” (the “Southeast Corner Smith Rd and Bradford Rd Voluntary Annexation Ordinance”).  The property that is the subject of this Southeast Corner Smith Rd and Bradford Rd Voluntary Annexation Ordinance consists of approximately 0.52 acres and is generally located at 9003 E CR 200 S, Plainfield, Indiana, 46168 (the “Territory).  The Territory is currently located outside of the corporate boundaries of the Town of Plainfield and is being annexed into the Town subject to a Petition for Voluntary Annexation.  All landowners residing in the Territory have requested that the Town consider such annexation.
