Fire Territory
Welcome to the home page of the Plainfield Fire Territory.
Emergencies
If you have an emergency dial 911. Our first priority is responding to emergencies, always dial 911 in the event of an emergency. We provide emergency medical service, patient transport, fire suppression, and rescue services.
Non-Emergencies
From time to time people need immediate help, but it is not an emergency. Some examples include: those in poor health or the elderly need help getting up, the carbon monoxide (CO) or smoke detector is making noise, open burning complaints, etc. In the event you need immediate assistance from us, dial 911.
When the call taker answers the phone, simply tell them it’s not an emergency, but you need help. The dispatcher will send the closest available unit to assist you. There will be no lights or sirens. We are very happy to help people when they need us. In addition, we like to meet or friends and neighbors when they are not in some type of distress.
