Q: Can I file an incident report over the phone or via email?

A: The Plainfield Police Department does not take reports over the phone or through electronic format at this time. Any incident that you need to report to the police can be done either by coming to the station or by calling the Communications Center to have an officer meet with you. This provides for personal service to the citizens as well as allows the officer to conduct a more thorough investigation.
