Q: What type of permits and fees are required to develop property?

A: No building, structure, sign or use of land may be altered changed, placed, erected or located unless an Improvement Location Permit (ILP) has been reviewed and issued by the Department of Planning and Zoning. The ILP applications can be obtained under Available Forms. Building Permits also are required for most buildings and structures. Check the Department of Building and Engineering web page for permits and fees. Click on Fee Schedule under Available Forms to see what the ILP fees are.
