RESOLUTION 2011-21
RESOLUTION CERTIFYING ADDITIONAL STREET MILEAGE
TO THE INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
WHEREAS, towns and cities share in certain revenues from the State of Indiana in the form of state-collected taxes, licenses and fees, and
WHEREAS, Motor Vehicle Taxes are distributed on a formula basis to town and cities, and
WHEREAS, the Town of Plainfield on an annual basis must certify to the Indiana Department of Transportation any additional road mileage for the purpose of calculating Plainfield's distribution of Motor Vehicle Taxes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Plainfield, Indiana, that:
1. The Town Council of the Town of Plainfield, Hendricks County, Indiana does hereby certify to the Indiana Department of Transportation an additional 1.43 miles of roads as described herein on attached Exhibit A, Sheets 1 through 4.
2. The Town Council of the Town of Plainfield, Hendricks County, Indiana requests that the additional 1.36 miles be included with previous road mile submittals and certify to the Town of Plainfield the total road mileage for 2011.
