RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF PLAINFIELD,
HENDRICKS COUNTY, INDIANA TO APPLY FOR A
BROWNFIELDS ASSESSMENT GRANT
WHEREAS, the Indiana Development Finance Authority administers a program to provide grants to Indiana local units of government for the assessment of environmentally contaminated properties, and
WHEREAS, the property located at County Road 700 East in the Town of Plainfield, Hendricks County, Indiana, more commonly known as "Department of Corrections Former Target Range," be designated a priority for identification of possible adverse environmental factors affecting redevelopment or reuse of the property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Town Council, of the Town of Plainfield, Hendricks County, Indiana, is authorized to apply for to the Indiana Development Finance Authority for a Brownfield Assessment Grant of up to $50,000 to find a Phase II Brownfield Investigation at the abovementioned site.
