This month we want you to meet Joel Thacker, our new Fire Chief. Joel was appointed by the Plainfield Town Council on January 9 due to the resignation of former Chief Brian Russell, who remains with the Fire Territory as a Battalion Chief. Joel is well qualified and we look forward to his leadership! Plus, we've been getting a number of questions about the Spring Heavy Trash Days. This ought to answer those. Heavy Trash Days for the spring will be April 1 and April 8. Plus, don't forget that the indoor aquatic center opens Saturday, March 4! (At the time the Post went to press, we only knew it would be in early March.) Did you hear about the 10 visits for $30 promotion? You can buy the pass now, but only for 5 (FIVE!) days through March 5. So plan to get into the Rec Center soon and scoop up this amazing bargain before it's gone. The passes are good for one full year, so they must be used by the first five days of March of 2018. And yes, they are good at Splash Island this summer!!!
