Active Shooter Training for the Public

Date: September 22, 2016
Time: 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Would you know what to do if you were in the wrong place at the wrong time and became an unwilling participant in an active shooter event? None of us wants to think about it, and the actual chances of it happening to any one of us is minimal, and yet it would be a good idea to be knowledgable if it happened. The Town of Plainfield in cooperation with the Plainfield Police Department are offering this presentation which will cover a brief history of active shooter events, how the body reacts to high stress situations, what to do ahead of time to prepare for a disaster, and what to do doing an active shooter event. The presenation will take place at the Richard A Carlucci Recreation and Aquatic Center. It will be limited to the first 150 who arrive. Please, no children under the age of 15. For additional information, please contact Tony Perona, Deputy Town Manager at 839-2561, ext. 252.
