Plainfield Police Hold Night Out Against Crime

Date: August 2, 2016
Time: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

On Tuesday, August 2nd, several Plainfield neighborhoods will participate in National Night Out.  National Night Out is a national event that is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for crime prevention, and strengthen neighborhood spirit and community relations with local law enforcement.   Residents will put on their porch lights and mingle with neighbors to strengthen their neighborhood crime watch from 6-9pm on Tuesday.  Plainfield officers will meet with residents in each participating neighborhood to show support for the crime watch and to answer questions or concerns from residents.  Target is a national sponsor of National Night Out and our local Plainfield Target Store and warehouse will be participating in the event.  Please contact Captain Jill Lees of the Plainfield Police Department at 838-3565 Ext. 214 for more information.
