The annual free community Easter egg hunt at Hummel Park, sponsored by Carpenter Realtors® of Plainfield, takes place on Saturday, March 19 at 10 a.m. NOTICE that this is the Saturday a week before Easter, not the Saturday before Easter. Hummel Park is doing it on this day because Easter weekend is during Spring Break.
Ages 0-10 years are eligible to participate. Parents/adults will only be allowed on the fields for the 0-2 and 3-4 age groups.
The event will feature a bounce house for younger children, prize giveaways and more. Activities will take place at the Hummel Park baseball and softball complex, 1500 South Center Street, Plainfield.
Arrive early and plan to park on the west side of the park (off CR 700E--also known as Sugar Grove Road) and walk across the bridge to the activities on the east side. There will also be face painting and air brush tattoos provided for a small fee. Please note that the Easter Bunny arrives at 9:45 a.m. via Fire Truck (provided by the Plainfield Fire Territory).
