Fire Territory of Plainfield Hiring Process

APPLICATION DEADLINE EXTENDED

The Plainfield Fire Territory is now accepting online applications for the position of Career Firefighter. 

The open positions include Firefighter/EMT and Firefighter/Paramedic.  Applicants for the position must possess a current EMT certification.  Paramedic license is preferred.  In addition, all applicants must be United States Citizens, 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, valid CPAT card at time of appointment and meet the requirements of the Indiana 1977 Firefighters and Police Officers Pension Fund.  Check the FAQ section of this site for more information.

*Experienced Career Firefighter/Paramedics who are already members of the 1977 Pension Fund may be considered for Lateral Transfer.

Probationary Firefighter/EMT $42,410.48 with mandatory overtime

Probationary Firefighter/Paramedic $44,354.80 with mandatory overtime

2nd Year Firefighter/EMT $46,147.22           2nd Year Firefighter/Paramedic $49,215.60

First Class (3rd year) Firefighter/EMT $52,709.30          First Class (3rd year) Firefighter/Paramedic $56,324.52
