Police Department of Plainfield Explorer Post #777
The Plainfield Police Department has an active police explorer post. Law Enforcement Career Exploring is open to young men and women ages 14 (and completed the 8th grade) through 20 years old with an interest in learning more about careers in the field of Law Enforcement.
Law Enforcement Exploring provides educational training programs for young adults on the purposes, mission, and objectives of law enforcement. The program provides career orientation experiences, leadership opportunities, and community service activities. The primary goals of the program are to help young adults choose a career path within law enforcement and to challenge them to become responsible citizens of their communities and the nation. Exploring programs are based on five areas of emphasis: career opportunities, life skills, citizenship, character education, and leadership experience.
Officer Jason Calloway is the Plainfield Police Explorer Post #777 Advisor. He conducts classroom instruction, hands-on training, mentoring, and schedules guest speakers to instruct explorers in their area of expertise. Plainfield Police Explorers also work along side uniform officers at many community events, such as Quaker Day, July 4th at Hummel Park and other public relations events in Plainfield.
If you are wanting more information or are interested in participating in the Plainfield Police Department's Explorer program, you can email Officer Calloway at email@example.com.
