Clerk-Treasurer Office Staff
Bio: Wes Bennett has been serving as the Clerk-Treasurer since August of 2005. Wes is a 1976 graduate of Plainfield High School. He has directed the Plainfield Optimist Football program, is a past president of the Optimist Club, and volunteers for several organizations. He is also a former member of the Morgan County Community Foundation Board of Directors.
Wes brings over 25 years of private sector background and training to the office including sales, marketing, financial and senior management experience. As the fiscal agent for the Town, Wes is responsible for all financial record keeping and management. In addition, his responsibilities include timekeeping and payroll, bank reconciliations and investments, public meeting documentation, audit controls, and accounts payable and receivables.
Wes is married and has two adult sons.
Bio: Hello, my name is Teresa McKinney. I am a Staff Accountant and Office Supervisor for the Clerk Treasurer's office. I have been with the Town of Plainfield since December of 2008. Some of my responsibilities include processing payroll, creating purchase orders, bank reconciliations, processing payment requests for State and Federal Grants, bond payment processing and analysis of monthly statements and monitoring general and enterprise fund budgets. As Office Supervisor, I assist the Clerk Treasurer in establishing procedures, practices and work methods that will increase work unit effectiveness and efficiency.
I obtained a Certificate of Accounting in 1985 and have been working in the accounting field for more than 25 years. I moved to Indiana in 1996 after my husband retired from the Air Force. I enjoy spending time with my family, baking, event planning, and interior decorating.
Bio: I have lived in Hendricks County most of life. I've raised two daughters, who have blessed me with seven grandchildren.
After working twenty-one years in the propane business, I came to work for the Town of Plainfield in August of 2000. With that, I brought a lot of experience in dealing with the public.
After living in Danville for thirty years, I decided I should move closer to my work, so I moved to Plainfield in 2008.
My job has a lot of variety, which I like. I do get along well with fellow employees as well as residents who walk in the door for our assistance.
Bio: Hi, my name is Denise Gadshian, and I am a Utility Billing Clerk for the Town of Plainfield. My responsibilities include posting payments for the water and sewer utilities, handling customer inquiries, and doing account research. I also close-out and finalize utility accounts; prepare and maintain work orders, and process monthly billing for the 11,000+ utility customers of Plainfield. I have been working for the Town of Plainfield since January of 2005.
I have worked in the administrative /banking field for the last 34 years. My husband's military career took us to Ludwigsburg, Germany, Ft. Benning, Georgia, and Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Our final move brought us back home.
I enjoy spending time with my family, flower gardening, hiking and playing golf, when we have the time.
Bio: My name is Toni Huffer, and I have worked for the Town of Plainfield as Accounts Payable Clerk for 13 years. In this position I am responsible for paying all bills for the Town. These invoices include items such as equipment, supplies, and all utilities that are needed to keep all the buildings up and running. I have enjoyed seeing all the growth in the Plainfield over the years.
After graduating from Ben Davis High School, I attended Indiana Business College. I received an associates degree in both Accounting and Business Management. I enjoy working in the Accounting field.
I am married and live in Mooresville. My hobbies include reading and needlecraft.
Bio: Hi, my name is Crissy Livengood and I have been the Staff Accountant for the Town of Plainfield for 10 years. I am a graduate of Warsaw High School and I graduated from the University of Arkansas at Monticello with a BS in Accounting. I live in Plainfield with my wonderful children and husband.
I started working for the Town in June of 2002. My job as the Staff Accountant involves many duties including reconciling the Town's bank statements and General Ledger; generating payroll every other week; doing month end and year-end close; preparing and entering journal entries when needed. I enjoy working for the Town and its residents. I enjoy all sports, I like to play golf, and I am a big COLTS fan!
Bio: My name is Alli Marlar and I have been the EMS Billing Clerk since July of 2007. My responsibilities encompass everything associated with the ambulance billing, including generating invoices for patients transported by the Plainfield Fire Territory, filing claims with Medicare and/or Medicaid, and posting payments. I'm also the back-up to the cashier, so I assist with issuing receipts for building permits and other payments.
I graduated from Brownsburg High School and IUPUI and had 4 years prior experience in the medical billing/repricing field before coming to work for the Town.
When I'm not at work, I love spending time with my family and reading.
Bio: Hi, my name is Jennifer Setty, and I am a Utility Billing Clerk for the Town of Plainfield. I started for the Town in September 2010. My responsibilities include taking in utility payments for water and sewer, handling customer inquiries, balancing cash receipts and preparing bank deposits, maintain work orders for any repairs or needed maintenance on the meters, creating accounts when we have new meters set in place. I also finalize utility accounts and help process monthly bills.
I have worked in the administrative field for over 13 years including ADESA Auto Auction in Accounts Receivables for 10 years and The Department of Workforce Development as an Accountant.
I love having family time and bike riding.
